Does Poekito block my apps?

No. Poekito never locks you out. He pops up over the apps you overuse to side-eye you into logging off yourself.

Which permissions does Poekito need?

Two. Display over other apps lets him appear on top of your apps, and Usage access lets him know which app you have opened. No account, no backend.

This Privacy Policy describes how Poekito (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit poekito.com or use the Poekito mobile application (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

We collect information you give us (such as an email when you join the waitlist), information generated when you use the Service (account, device, and app settings such as your chosen overlay and watched apps), and a limited set of analytics events on the website. To show the overlay at the right time, the app reads which application is currently in the foreground; it does not read the content of your messages, keystrokes, or any other app’s screen contents.

2. How we use information

We use the information to provide and improve the Service, deliver messages you’ve asked for (such as early-access notifications), maintain security, and comply with the law. Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for product analytics.

3. Overlay and app-detection permissions

Poekito uses Android’s system overlay permission to draw the mindful timer on top of other apps, and reads which app is currently in the foreground so it knows when to show it. Access is opt-in, can be revoked at any time, and these signals are used only to display the overlay — they are not stored as a history of your activity or sent off your device.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a minimal set of analytics cookies (Google Analytics) on the marketing website to understand traffic and improve content. You can decline analytics cookies via the banner; essential cookies (such as your language preference) will still load.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers we need to operate (hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing for the one-time Plus unlock), under contractual data-processing terms, and as required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@poekito.com.

7. Children

Poekito is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
